ADVERTISING inRead invented by Teads In a statement posted on the Nigerian Presidency Twitter page, the Nigerian government expressed strong and unflinching support for President Alassane Ouattara, commending him for his ongoing efforts at resolving the crisis. The statement urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint, remain calm and continue dialogue. "We urge the mutineers to return to their barracks and refrain from any action capable of undermining peace, security and democracy in Cote d'Ivoire. "We urge the people of Cote d’Ivoire to remain steadfast in their support for the government and to refrain from giving support to the mutineers in the overall interest of the peace, tranquility, good order and prosperity of Côte d'Ivoire," the statement said.
