Barcelona come from 2 goals down to defeat Eibar on final day of the season

Barcelona came from two goals down to win 4 - 2 against Eibar at Camp Nou, but that was not enough to win La Liga for the Catalan club.
Luis Enrique's men came into the final game of the season three points behind Real Madrid and depended on Malaga to defeat Madrid to win a third consecutive La Liga title.

The day was however to start on a bad note as Takashi Inui capitalized on a defensive error to score past Marc Ter-Stegen.
Two minutes later, Luis Suarez missed an opportunity to equalize after he was fed through by an impressive Lionel Messi.

The Japanese added his second in the 61st minute to put Eibar 2 - 0 up at Camp Nou in the most dramatic fashion.
David Junca scored an own goal after deflecting Jordi Alba's cross into his own net and Messi was given the opportunity to equalize via the penalty spot.
The Argentine however missed, but his blushed would be saved by Suarez who equalized in the 73rd minute.
Messi would however atone for his sins as he scored in the 75th minute to put the Catalans ahead. La Pulga would add a second in the 90th minute of the game.

Barca won 4 - 2, but that was not enough to win La Liga as Real Madrid claimed the league with a 2 - 0 win away to Malaga.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema scored the goals as Los Blancos secured a first league title since 2012 when Jose Moruinho was in charge.
Madrid finished with 93 points, Barca with 90 points while Atletico Madrid finished third with 78 points.

Special guest visits IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu all the way from Germany


The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has received a foreign 

journalist at his home in Afara Ukwu,Umuahia.

Vanguard reports that the Deutsche writer Katrin Gaensles came all the way from Germany to see Kanu.

In an earlier report by NAIJ.com, Uchenna Madu, the leader of Movement for the Actualization of 

the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), visited the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, 

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Madu and his team visited Kanu in Abia state, on Thursday, May 18. Although the purpose of the 

meeting has not been disclosed, they are sure to have discussed issues bordering on Biafra.



The visit by Madu was also to congratulate Nnamdi Kanu who was recently released from Kuje Prison.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States has offered a $1000 reward for information that will lead to the arrest of a Nigerian national suspected of defrauding victims of over $5 million through an email scam.

32-year-old Kelechi Declan James, suspected to be in New York City, is alleged to have run a business e-mail compromise scheme that resulted in victims losing more than $5 million.
“As part of scheme, James and his co-conspirators defrauded victims across the U.S. by tricking them into wiring money to bank accounts the victims believed were owned by family members, friends, or business associates,” the FBI said in a statement last week.
They explained that the scheme was run in two ways: “by overtaking an e-mail account of an individual trusted by the victim and then requesting money be wired to a bank account; or by developing a relationship of trust with victim like an Internet romance and then asking the victim to wire money.”
As part of scheme, James and his co-conspirators defrauded victims across the U.S. by tricking them into wiring money to bank accounts the victims believed were owned by family members, friends, or business associates.
The money is moved from one account to another and then withdrawn from bank accounts by James, the statement added.
Kelechi Declan James has federal criminal charges against him.

Biafra pressure: MASSOB declares Uwazuruike an outcast

The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) has distanced itself from all activities linked to Chief Ralph Uwuazrurike.
MASSOB said it was not affiliated to any group called Biafra Independent Movement.
The group in a statement by its leader, Comrade Uchenna Madu asked its teeming members to shun the May 22 celebration and brace up for the main event slated for May 30, which is Biafra Remembrance Day.
He called on supporters of the movement not to give up as the birth of Biafra was already in sight.

Black Man Praised After Slapping White Woman For Calling Him A Ni**er

A video of the incident has gone viral with discussions of racism and assault.

A viral video involving a man hitting a woman for calling him a racial slur has sparked conversation online on what’s an acceptable reaction to a testy situation.
The incident, uploaded to the web on May 5, shows a man arguing with a woman about her constant use of the n-word. During the nearly minute-long video, the woman puts her hand in the man’s face as he tries to get off the bus. After a few taunts, the man warns the woman about her racist vernacular by saying, “Mind your mouth cuz.  Say it one more time. Say it one more time.” Unsurprisingly, the woman continues and the man slaps her in the face before getting off the bus.
The woman quickly calls for the police after she allegedly received an injury to her eye. “You shouldn’t have called him a ni**er,” the man who filmed the incident tells the woman.
The video was uploaded to Facebook and has amassed over 3 million views with commenters split on the man’s reaction. “As a white male, I probably would have slapped the sh*t out of her for him,” one commenter from North Carolina said. “But hey, racism doesn’t exist in our country anymore, according to most. Take a kid from every race and put them in a room together and they will all play with one another till their parents tell them not to.”
Meanwhile, there were others who believed he could’ve handled the situation in a different way. “Black, white, brown, man woman, no one should get a pass for being disrespectful. I wouldn’t have slapped her, but I ain’t mad that he did,” a Dallas commenter explained. “We live in a world where people have no respect for their fellow humans, now she wants to play victim, I don’t feel pity for racist, racism is evil, I don’t believe in hitting women but her being a woman is no excuse for her racism.”

First Lady Melania Trump met with Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz al-Saud in during a trip to Saudi Arabia.
Donald Trump’s old tweets keep coming back to haunt him. This time, they followed him to Saudi Arabia, during his first trip overseas as President of the United States.
In 2015, half a year before he officiaannounced he was running for president, Trump criticized then-First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama for not wearing a headscarf over her hair during a trip to Saudi Arabia.
But when Trump and his family visited the Islamic nation this weekend, people noticed that his wife Melania Trump and daughter Ivanka Trump did the exact same thing.
Melania Trump wore loose-fitting conservative outfits to the Islamic nation, much like Obama did during her 2015 trip to Saudi Arabia. Trump was seen wearing a black Stella McCartney jumpsuit covered most of her arms and legs, and was accentuated with a gold belt and chain-link necklace. Ivanka Trump wore a long-sleeved floral dress that reached above the ankles.

Once photos of the Trumps in Saudi surfaced online, people were quick to dig up the president’s old tweet and point out his hypocrisy.
Saudia Arabia has a strict dress code that requires Saudi women to wear long black robes, known as abayas, and to cover their hair in public. However, foreign diplomats or politicians aren’t required to cover their hair during visits to the country.
Middle East politics expert Christopher Davidson told NBC News that it’s “perfectly tasteful and appropriate” for prominent women, including the Trumps and Mrs. Obama, to forego headscarves during their visits to the kingdom.
“We’ve now had a number of prominent Western women who have visited Saudi in recent months, Angela Merkel and Theresa May,” Davidson said. “Neither of them covered their hair and they both wore trouser suits.”
Journalist Joyce Karam also pointed out that several other First Ladies and female American politicians have visited the country sans headscarf in the past, including Hillary Clinton, Barbara Bush and Laura Bush.
(Laura Bush briefly wore a head scarf, which was gifted to her, during a trip to Saudi Arabia, though she did not wear it for the entire visit, according to The Guardian.)
